Good news, the O2 Arena can presumably keep its name, because Telefonica says it is no longer planning to sell the telecoms unit. The EC had blocked a £10.5bn bid from CK Hutchison in May citing “strong concerns” over the deal’s impact on UK customers, and a potential harm to “innovation in the mobile sector”. Now Brexit has stalled both a flotation and a private equity buy-out. Read more ...
