Amex links with hotel chain for business and leisure card
American Express has launched a new credit card to meet demand for premium rewards from business and leisure travellers.
The card is linked the Starwood hotel chain’s Preferred Guest programme, which covers 1,000 hotels and resorts in 100 countries around the world.
Points can be earned on almost all expenditure on the card, and customers will have the opportunity to get complimentary hotel nights and room upgrades as well as VIP concert tickets.
Katrina Cliffe, head of consumer cards at American Express, commented: “Reward cardholders are increasingly looking for new ways to be able to accumulate travel-related benefits for their everyday spending.
“This is an ideal card for today’s discerning travellers, particularly those who have an existing affinity to the Starwood Preferred Guest programme and want to be able to earn Starpoints for all of the spending on their plastic.”
