Amex names new member of Blue scheme
Fast food retailer joins programme
Dunkin’ Donutshas become the latest partner in the American Express Blue Savings customer loyalty programme.
When Blue, Blue Cash, or Blue Sky Cardmembers shop four times in a calendar month at any Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in the US with their American Express Card, they will get a $5 Dunkin’ Donuts Card.
The company’s Blue programme offers rewards such as room upgrades, discounts, and food and beverage credits. Amex has deals with Atlantis, Paradise Island, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Hertz car rental, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Dunkin’ Donuts is the first restaurant partner to join the programme.
To receive the benefit, members must register their Blue from American Express, Blue Cash, or Blue Sky Card at www.AmericanExpress.com/ Bluedining.
Members can then visit any participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant and must make four separate purchases on the same enrolled card in a calendar month to receive the benefit.
In December, Amex and Dunkin’ Donuts gave customers a 20% bonus if they used their credit cards to refill their Dunkin’ Donuts Card with $25 or more.
In a separate contract American Express hass partnered with Macy’s on co-branded credit cards for the Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s brands, replacing Visa as the partner card network.
In January Amex also launched LoyaltyEdgeSM, a practice to help its corporate clients develop or enhance loyalty programmes.
