Asda plans programme to increase website traffic??
UK supermarket chain Asda is planning a loyalty programme to attract more users to its website. The retailer is looking for ways in addition to promotions that it can increase the amount of online visits and expenditure at its site.
Asda has hired marketing company BJL to create a campaign to show the benefits of online shopping and a digital and direct mail campaign will look at attracting customers to the website to build loyalty and repeat sales.
“We were particularly impressed with BJL’s strategic capacity to help us maximise every opportunity in the customer journey,” said Jackie Tasker, head of online marketing at ASDA.
“Asda is a hugely successful retailer and we are delighted to be assisting them with developing their online retail offer, helping them become one of the top multi-channel retailers in the UK,” commented Amanda Sankey, group account director at BJL.
The campaign starts this month and will target existing and lapsed customers.
