Blood bank entices customers with rewards?
A Californian blood bank has launched a rewards programme to persuade reluctant blood donors to give blood more regularly.
Delta Blood Bank in San Andreas says the programme is intended to encourage repeat donations and maintain stability in the region’s emergency blood supply.
The scheme rewards new donors who return within seven days following the required 56-day waiting period, necessary for the body’s blood supply to return to normal.
For such repeat first-time donors, the initial points they earned for donating blood will be doubled, enabling them to more quickly accumulate points redeemable for any number of gifts offered by local businesses and nationwide US retail chains that are in partnership with the blood bank.
