Bookseller plans rewards programme
Irish book retailer Hughes & Hughes is planning to introduce an adult loyalty card scheme after the success of its children’s scheme.
The Kids Club launched in April in all of the retailer’s Irish stores saw 1,500 members sign up during the first 10 days.
Children get a sticker for every Eur5 spent on books in store. When they have collected six stickers, they get €5 off their next purchase. The children’s parents are also contacted with details of special offers, instore events or new promotions.
The retailer says an adult version of the loyalty card will now be introduced into stores later this month. Details of the card are being finalised.
Hughes and Hughes has 12 stores in Ireland.
