Entertainment retailer issues rewards credit card
Online entertainment retailer Play.com has launched a new credit and rewards card.
Holders of the MBNA-branded card will receive ‘PlayPoints’ when using it, which can then be used to buy 8 million of the products available from Play.com. One PlayPoint will be earned for every pound spent, with two PlayPoints earned for every pound spent on Play.com itself. A £5 Play.com gift voucher is available for every 500 PlayPoints accrued.
Stuart Rowe, the firm’s chief operating officer, said: “The Play.com card will be another way of rewarding our customers for their ongoing loyalty.”
Other features of the card include 15.9% APR, 0% on balance transfers for six months and 0% on purchases for nine months.
Earlier this month rival retailer HMV started its own loyalty scheme, called purehmv.
