Fitness brings its own reward
Loyalty scheme for personal trainers launched by health club group
Health club group Fitness First has launched a new loyalty scheme for its personal trainers in the UK, providing them with a number of free benefits and rewards.
The group, which employs over 1,000 trainers across the UK, says the scheme will help it retain a key resource by rewarding its trainers’ expertise and dedication.
Benefits of the scheme include recognised training programmes for personal trainers both in-house and from select external providers. In-house courses on first aid, leadership, coaching and business management are offered for free over the three year tiered loyalty programme, along with substantial discounts on external training courses from providers such as Premier Global and Faster Global.
The discounts are also applied to a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) workshop, which keeps Personal Trainers informed of new industry trends and developments. Free access is also provided to PTontheNet, the online fitness education site.
The health club group is also launching a dedicated PT website for each personal trainer to feature their own profile page, which it says will serve to both increase public awareness and promote their individual businesses to a growing market. The PT website is linked to Fitness First’s own website through a “personal trainer search” function.
Derek Crawford, Fitness First’s National Fitness Manager said of the new scheme: “By rewarding and motivating our personal trainers, we can guarantee their success and loyalty, in turn providing a consistent expert service for our gym members.”
The Fitness First privately owned health club group has over 540 clubs worldwide reaching over 1.4 million members in 21 countries. In the UK there are 160 Fitness First clubs with over 405,000 members.
