Gulf supermarket chain joins Air Miles
Gulf supermarket chain Al Jazira Group has joined the Air Miles programme in the Middle East.
Air Miles says the contract will further expand its suite of high-profile partners across UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.
Al Jazira was established over 40 years ago and in recnt years has doubled the range of products it offers. It now also specialises in fashion, gift stores and fast food outlets.
Its brands include include fashion names as Truworths, Fidel, Sergent Major and Indigo Nation; its restaurants include Chai Café, Mex Chic Inn and Zyng Asian Grill, and it has recently opened the Sanrio gift store in Bahrain.
Customers shopping at these outlets will earn one Air Mile for every dirham or riyal spent when they swipe their Air Miles card. For Al Jazira Supermarket customers, payment has to be made in conjunction with their HSBC Credit Card to gain the benefits.
Al Jazira’s MD, Mohammed Sadiq Khalil Dawani commented: “Al Jazira is in constant search of new ways and means to heighten our customer’s shopping experience. Now we will be able to offer further valuable benefits every time our customers shop with us or eat in our restaurants.”
Now in its eighth year of operation in the Gulf, the Air Miles programme has over 1.7 million members in the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.
