Latest partner for Barclaycard Freedom named
Pizza chain joins programme
PizzaExpress, the high street restaurant, is the latest partner to join the Barclaycard Freedom retail rewards scheme in the UK.
The restaurant chain joins thousands of small and medium size retailers that have already joined the scheme, all of which will offer Reward Money to Barclaycard’s eight million customers when the scheme launches this month.
The loyalty scheme, announced in January, will be automatically available to Barclaycard cardholders who will earn and redeem Reward Money at point of sale. Reward Money is recorded in pounds and pence, with no vouchers or coupons to save and no points to calculate.
Other national retailers and partners already in the scheme include LA Fitness, YO! Sushi, Firebox.com, Goldsmiths and Nationwide Autocentres. In addition to the one per cent earn rate, PizzaExpress will offer cardholders exclusive rewards – until 15th May, customers who spend £30 will get £5 Reward Money.
Emma Woods, MD for PizzaExpress said: “The customer overlap between PizzaExpress and Barclaycard is strong and it’s an easy, hassle free way to reward loyalty.”
In addition to big brands such as Pizza Express, Barclaycard Freedom claims to offers the concept of a rewards scheme to many small and medium retailers for the first time.
