Mobile rewards app launches in Costa Rica
Solution stores loyalty cards, barcodes and QR codes
A new mobile rewards app has been launched in Costa Rica to store loyalty cards, barcodes, QR codes or customer numbers in a smartphone.
The app, developed by Swiss-Costa Rican company StampKey, is intended to remove the need to carry physical cards and stores loyalty cards, barcodes, QR codes or customer numbers on iOS and Android smartphones.
It takes a digital image of each card, which after a quick edit is stored in a digital card organiser, from where it can be retrieved and zoomed to full screen whenever required.
The app features a “professional digital loyalty stamp” solution for businesses developed for restaurants, bars, gyms, service stations and others. It also has an in-built QR-code for each user, which enables businesses to scan the QR codes of other StampKey users as displayed on their smartphones or via a printed business card (available on the company’s website).
The app is available on iTunes and Google Play in English, Spanish and German language editions.
It is free to download for personal use, but businesses require a subscription to use all of the extra capabilities offered.
