New partner for Payback
Major travel agency joins scheme
Raiffeisen-Tours-Kooperation (RTK), Germany’s largest travel agent, is joining coalition loyalty scheme Payback.
From 2 August 2010, more than 4,000 travel agencies across Germany will reward customers with Payback points when making holiday bookings.
Payback sends out 96 million direct mailings and 272 million e-mail newsletters a year, and its brand is represented in 8,550 partner stores. It says the partnership with RTK will extend its total number of partner outlets to 12,550.
“This cooperation with RTK means we can now offer this in the tourism sector, too,” said Payback CEO Bernhard Brugger. ”In turn, RTK benefits from the Payback communication channels and the opportunity to communicate directly with customers.”
RTK says it expects its involvement with Payback to boost customer loyalty at its travel agencies. The new partnership is being supported by a major publicity campaign, with around 15 million mailings being sent out.
The campaign will include posters in all participating travel agencies, a comprehensive online campaign and a TV advert to encourage customers to book their holidays in RTK agencies and be able to collect Payback points at the same time.
