OfficeMax runs latest US fuel rewards promotion
US stationary retailer OfficeMax has been running a promotion offering fuel savings to drive printer purchases.
The week long offer is one of number of fuel-based incentives that have been run by retail chains in the US this summer via loyalty programmes, rebate offers and sweepstakes.
The promotion was run in partnership with printer supplier Brother International. Retail chain OfficeMax offered members of its MaxPerks loyalty programme a US$30 BP gift card by mail with purchase of any Brother printer.
The MaxPerks programme offers a US$25 reward every time a member spends a minimum of US$500 on qualified purchases at OfficeMax in a calender year.
The company also claims to offer a “green” option to it rewards programme. Large collectors of recycleable ink cartridges can also sign up to have a collection box sent to them where they recive US$1 for each HP or Dell Cartridge wih a maximum of 300 per month,. All postage is paid by OfficeMax for the collection boxes.
