Paperchase launches ‘perks not points’ card
Scheme rolls out after Scottish trial
UK stationary retailer Paperchase has rolled out a reward scheme that offers members perks rather than points.
The Treat Me scheme, which is the retailer’s first and follows a trial in Scotland, offers reward such as £5 off when spending more than £50, free birthday presents, a free coffee with a purchase, upgrades to next day delivery when spending over £10, and exclusive in-store and online ‘treats’.
Users also get 15% off instantly when they sign up in-store or activate their card online.
The scheme is free to join – cards can be picked up in any one of the Paperchase stores (excluding concessions) and have to be registered online.
Members gain perks based on their spending in a store or online by using their Treat Me card. Purchases of gift cards and stamps in store and egift vouchers online do not contribute towards the rewards earned.
Some of the reward offers are time-limited, such as £5 off on birthdays which is valid for 14 days, while the £5 voucher for spending £50 is valid for 30 days
The retailer has colloborated on the scheme with retail IT company PMC and eCommerce consultancy RedBox digital.
