Payback offers double points for customers and charity
German bonus scheme Payback is launching a “donation week” offering double points to customers and to its partner charity.
Payback’s charity partner “Ein Herz für Kinder” (“A Heart For Children”) benefits children in need. From 12 to 18 October 2009, Payback members will receive double points for purchases from participating Payback partners, and double points will also automatically go to “Ein Herz für Kinder”. Payback members can register now for the campaign week at www.payback.de/spendenwoche.
“We have been cooperating with aid organisations since Payback came into existence nine years ago. It has always been important to us to do good as a company and also to provide donation options with our product. In addition to redeeming the points they collect for vouchers or rewards, our members are therefore also able to donate them to a good cause”, said Burkhard Grassmann, spokesman for the Payback management board.
Marion Horn, first chairwoman of the charitable association BILD hilft e.V. “Ein Herz für Kinder”, said: “We are delighted that Payback and so many of its partner companies are committed to ‘Ein Herz für Kinder’. We guarantee that 100% of the donations made during this campaign will go to helping children. The associated administrative costs will be covered in full by part of a large annual donation from Axel Springer AG.”
Payback has been cooperating with “Ein Herz für Kinder” for a year. Cooperation focuses on Germany, which also has its share of children and families in need. Participating Payback partner companies include Aral, dm-drogerie markt, Galeria Kaufhof, real,-, Depot, Europcar, Germanwings, Sportarena and twelve online partners.
Over 60% of German households have a Payback card, and it is the third most commonly carried card in German wallets after EC payment cards and health-insurance cards.
