Skye Bank offers the dream
Banking with Skye Bank of Nigeria may not be free, but it is trying to make sure every customer goes home with something at the end of a transaction.
The initiative has been tagged “Skye Dreams” and it is taking place in Zaria, Kaduna State.
Unveiling the programme the Assistant General Manager Special Products Unit of the Bank, Mrs. Nkoli Okoli said the idea was introduced both to say ‘thank you’ to its existing customers and at the same time encourage prospective customers to open their personal accounts with the bank.
“It is an avenue for making sure that doing business with Skye Bank is not for free, but that every customer goes home with something at the end of every transaction with the Bank,” said Nkoli Okoli.
“The programme is neither a promo nor a public relations gimmick. ll that is needed is for the customers to continue doing their normal business and keep their accounts active at all times,” she said.
For a customer to be qualified to earn points in the Skye Dream programme, he or she has to have at least 30,000 Naira minimum average balance at the end of the month, and points are earned on the basis of the use of the ATM, debit card, deposits made into personal account, usage of the Skye Naira credit card and international Visa card, or the opening of a new account.
Among products to be won by customers in the programme include a flat Screen TV, home theatre, camp coder, handsets and laptops.
Skye Bank Plc has posted a half year profit before tax of N13.7 billion for the period ended March 31, 2009, representing 43 per cent increase over the N9.58 billion profit recorded during the corresponding period in 2008.
Similarly, profit after tax rose to N10.9 billion during the review period as against N7.6 billion recorded in 2008.
